Lucerne -We strive to produce premium quality leafy, thin stemmed lucerne that is palatable. Lucerne hay helps meet the the requirement for energy, crude protein, calcium, trace-minerals and Vitamin D. Grassy Lucerne - We chose Rhodes grass as the the most satisfactory tropical grasses for hay. This allows for a very palatable source of feed mixed with our high quality lucerne. Very palatable and primarily used as a bulk feed. Barley - A good roughage feed mainly used for cattle. Fresh baled is more ideal for horses as it contains a “sweeter” taste. High in phosphorus Sorghum - Related to sugar cane, sorghum is a good dietary requirement during the dry seasons or as a year round roughage for cattle. It is rich in carbohydrates, moderate protein, contains Vitamin E and a good source of dietary fibre. Chaff - Both lucerne and oaten chaff is commonly used as a supplementary feed and used to increase the bulk and fibre of a grain based concentrate feed. We chaff to order to assure you don’t get dusty and poorly cured samples.
